Cyanotype Print on Hot Press Archival Paper
The work is from the series Notes on Movement that continues my exploration of movement, parallax, perception and architectural memory. The works here weave together the ideas of parallax and Ma (pronounced MAAH in Japanese) within an architectural frame. Though the work exists on a two-dimensional surface, it carries a sense of shifting and flow. As one stays with it, the structure begins to soften into light, and movement becomes less about the act of seeing and more about an inner awareness — a stillness that moves.
The work is created using the cyanotype process, a medium controlled to form translucent layers that evoke the sensation of light passing through shifting space.
