Abstract Chronicles was a group exhibition curated by Girish Shahane, and exhibited at Gallery OED, Kochi, in 2016. The exhibition consisted of a wide range of works from multiple series and across formats, including Spatial Morphology: Photographs, Vertical Perception, and Drawing Sculpture: Shifting Spaces.

Drawing Sculpture: Shifting Spaces sculpture that investigates space as something experienced rather than fixed through the use of measured lines. Fabricated in aluminium and painted atop with industrial paint, the work invites slow looking, revealing moments where perception continuously shifts and recalibrates. It is an extension of Shifting Spaces series that examines along the same line with the use of orange oil pastel on paper.

Another work is from the series Vertical Perception that respond to the gap that exists in between architectural planes and the physical experience of it in the real world. While architecture is constructed through perpendicular lines and planned layout, it is rarely experienced as perfectly straight, and where the smallest shift in positions alters what is visible. The work reveals itself gradually, as the viewer moves around it and discovers moments of alignment and separation in the due process. Thereby, making the act of looking by the viewer a central part that activates the very work.

Further, the exhibition also exhibited Spatial Morphology KONA #3, a photographic work from the Spatial Morphology: Photographs series. The work is a part of broader series that uncover abstract compositions hidden within the architectural spaces we encounter everyday. Where, it works to examine how the elements of light, texture, and perspective shape our embodied way of looking and experiencing space.

Together, these works forms a dialogue responding to different ways of experiencing architecture.
